Ernesto Hernandez has been appointed President and Managing Director of General Motors de Mexico effective June 1, 2011

Hernandez is the first Mexican to serve in this role. Prior to his new assignment, Hernandez was the GM Mexico Vice President and VSSM Executive Director, being responsible for the commercial operations of Mexico, Central America and Caribbean. He led the commercial and aftersales strategies for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands, kept a strong relationship with around 160 dealers in all of Mexico and 20 in Central America and Caribbean.
